When it was time to start looking for more competitive horses for Jr. Rodeo and High School Rodeo, my daughter Jymie and I went to Cherry Creek Quarter Horses.  We loved the first horse we bought in the Fall of 2018 so much we bought another in the Spring of 2019. In the middle of the Jr. High Rodeo Season Jymie started "Chief" Nu Cash Handle on poles and hauled him to a rodeo two weeks later where she ran barrels and poles competitively for the first time.  Chief exceeded our expectations and has continued to do so.  The best thing about him is that he is versatile and he's broke to ride.  The first horse we bought from Cherry Creek Quarter Horses is "Flip", Pine Flips Me Out.  Flip is an accomplished reined-cow horse that also happens, like Chief, to be an amazing rope horse.  We do everything on these two horses!  It's all a testament to the foundation put on them by Cherry Creek Quarter Horses.  Dean Barent and his team take the time and don't cut corners.  We've had continued support from Cherry Creek Quarter Horse and can rely on that relationship.  It's nice to be a part of something going in a positive direction.

I bought my horse, Lucky, from Cherry Creek Quarter Horses about a year ago with the goal of showing him in Reined Cow Horse. We are now winning at large cow horse shows and I couldn’t be happier with my choice, as he is the most broke and gentle horse I could have. He will take care of the smallest child, yet has all of the buttons for an experienced rider to enjoy! He’s a super laid back guy but as soon as he gets in the arena with a cow, he knows his job and will work his heart out for you! All though reined cow horse is his main event, he will do anything I ask of him with no hesitation. We have done barrels, poles, breakaway, jumping, drug calves to the fire, and rode bridle-less and bareback a countless amount of times. Lucky is loved by everyone who meets him and he has found his forever home with me. Thank you so much Cherry Creek Quarter Horses!

I purchased my horse from Dean in 2015 as a five year old after watching her being raised, trained, shown and used for all aspect of ranch work by the Barents.  She is broke to ride and gentle.  The kind you can do a days work on and the kids can ride too.  One of the nicest horses I’ve been around.  If Dean says they are broke to ride and gentle.  Rest assured they are!
